Press Release

David L. Mastos, LUTCF is the Managing Director of DLM Financial Strategies. Remember the adage "A Penny Saved Is a Penny Earned "? Unlike typical financial consultants, Dave believes that instead of being more aggressive and taking more risk, an alternative strategy, to work toward increasing your returns and growing your wealth, is eliminating "Transferred Money" like taxes and other inefficient expenses. This can be accomplished through the use of a "Distribution Plan" which is designed to help accumulate assets in the right type of accounts during your working years and that you distribute those assets from the right type of accounts during your retirement thereby avoiding the retirement tax trap.

David's financial services career began in 1996 as a captive agent for one of the largest insurance and financial services companies in the United States. His continuing desire to learn eventually led him to work for a large insurance brokerage firm as an internal wholesaler where he trained and supported premier agents and financial planners from all across the country. This is where he honed his skills as a specialist in searching out the best solutions to fill client's needs. Although he did enjoy the work, Dave missed the personal relationships and interaction he had with his own clients so he decided to establish an independent financial services practice to provide his clients with the finest array of financial tools available.

Dave has lived in the Oregon, Wisconsin area for over thirty years and currently resides in Evansville. He believes that it is crucial for people to be involved in order to maintain and improve the quality of life in their community. Dave has been a member of the Madison Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors since 1996. He has been a Director of and has served as the Treasurer of the Oregon Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2014 he was recognized with the Chamber's Long Time Community Service Award.  In his free time he enjoys boating, motorcycling, cooking (& eating), target shooting and golf.
